What is trauma

Hi, everyone. I just started research on trauma when one of my friend share her story about how she recover from it. My purpose of sharing is just to let you acknowledge about this and hope it might be helpful for all you too.

She faced tough days. To start, she have struggled with severe anxiety and depression for years. It stems from childhood trauma that makes her believe that she is worthless and will never be or do anything of importance. All she ever want to do is make life better for others and leave the world a better place, but she was let down and defeated every time she tried to do anything. She saw herself as nothing but a failure. It is so bad that she frequently have suicidal thoughts.

She felt hopeless, lost, worthless, and fearful that she will never do anything that matters.
She had to quit her job too because she was so depressed. She was extremely self-deprecating and do not value her life at all. She has given up on her dreams because things have never worked out for her.

This is nothing more than like a nightmare. It’s not as easy as it’s seem.

What is the definition of trauma in simple words?

The deeply distressing or disturbing event that overwhelms an individual’s ability to cope, causes feelings of helplessness, diminishes their sense of self and their ability to feel the full range of emotions and experiences.

Examples of traumatic events include:

  • death of family member, lover, friend, teacher, or pet
  • divorce
  • physical pain or injury (e.g. severe car accident)
  • serious illness
  • war
  • natural disasters
  • terrorism
  • moving to a new location
  • parental abandonment
  • witnessing a death
  • rape
  • domestic abuse
  • prison stay

These are some examples of traumatic events and my friend became one of the victim from it. But thank God she is totally fine by taking some help from professional therapist and by her own self belief and because of some most important people in her life. She has now started her own business. And I am so happy for her. I am glad she is fine now.

Thoughts 💭

From my point of view Trauma is a wound, and wounds can only heal in the right environment.

Try to survive in hard times

There are certain life lessons that you can only learn during hard times. I face many challenges and hardships in my life and at that time I used to say why am I?  Like normal people..hmmm! But now I thank past

Quarter-life, midlife crises. As we age we see ourselves changing physically and mentally. We met different people at different times and we have different feelings for all of them. During this we take many hard decisions, become disappointed, suffering from depression, fear of losing someone. Changing friendship, failures, Divorce,  losing a job, getting older, getting injured, and falling sick.

Our Common Moments of life

These are very common. None of us can say that we didn’t face one of them. We all face difficulty or trouble in our lives. Life is not a bed of roses. We have our moments of success and failure, of delight and despair, and of satisfaction and disappointment

You can’t be a rebel without the scars that come with it. Truth is, some days scars are just as ugly as they are beautiful. The way I see it, hard times aren’t only about money, drought, or dust. Hard times are about losing spirit and hope, and what happens when dreams dry up…

What I think is that.                    Without being push to the wall, we will have remained in our comfortable zone. But this circumstance challenges us to find the courage to move on.

Difficulty introduces us with patience

Difficulty introduces us with patience.   Considering life as a blessing gives us peace and calm. Always find hope in difficulty. And always remember the best days are yet to come. We all face pain, unhappiness, anxiety, and fear in our lives. But the difference is that some take these hardships as a challenge and climb up the mountain. And some of them think as it is totally out of their dept. Its nothing to worry about we all face catastrophe.

Take a long deep breath

Conclusion:

Dreams are always crazy and directionless
All of us have a place in history And history has a place in clouds

When you’re in difficulties just tell yourself I did that before, I still can do

I hope this will help you and motivate you and don’t forget that Mistakes are the best teacher in our life whatever the situation is going, you are not alone. We all suffer and face hardships in our life. Don’t give up…
